Five months into the pandemic and before the onset of the new academic year, it was time for senior faculty members at IGTC to discuss and evaluate:

  • the effects of the pandemic on the economy and how it will influence curriculum changes, and
  • the impact and effectiveness of the digital learning methods

To meet these objectives, IGTC organized a faculty meeting on Tuesday 18th August 2020. It was very well attended by all the faculty, most of whom have contributed over a decade of teaching at IGTC. The deliberated on the enhancement of the academic curriculum of IGTC’s flagship programmes – the 18-month, full-time Post Graduate Programme in Business Management and the 1-year, weekend Executive Business Management Programme.

Innovative tools of teaching and assessment were also the focus points of this elaborate session. Tools such as slido, mentimeter, jamboard, testmoz, analyser were demonstrated and shared among the faculty to enhance their interactivity and engagement with the students, and to evolve their teaching pedagogy at IGTC.

Whether it is the physical classroom or the online, virtual world, undoubtedly the faculty anchor IGTC and inspire the team to strive toward excellence in management education. They lead by example, as the perfect role models, displaying agility and resilience to the optimum!

And hence, we strongly believe, “The spotlight should always belong to the ones who make the stars shine!”
